'Album 25' and 'Music To Watch Sheep By' - highly recommended must-buys from possibly the sharpest social commentators around. Beneath those fab tunes there are some killer lyrics, guaranteed to make you guffaw out loud.
The 4th Parallel - Learn Our Lesson
Who plays what ? Will you be hypnotised by the starfield and eye-popping colours on their site ? There's only one way to be sure so nip over there and tell them what you think. Contact the band if you'd like to buy any of their releases
Tonight's wonderful soundbed music, 'The World Outside My Window' and 'White Hotel' was supplied by torchomatic.
* for those not familiar with Scottish culture, Irn Bru is a carbonated drink which is 'Made in Scotland from girders' and is our renowned 'other national drink'. People swear by it as a hangover cure. It's a shocking orangey/brown colour but I do admit to loving the stuff. You can find out more about it here at their mad website. Just a pity they don't have an ad archive as the older ones were simply superb !

Another good show Grant. But I have to say you only just sneak into my top 2 favourite Scots!
The bands I'd not heard before, Freddy and The 4th Parallel were well worth listening to.

Finally got a moment to catch up on my podcasts...it's been a very busy month.
I love Freddy...will be buying his CD. He definitely builds on where I think the Beatles might of gone if they were still recording. A lovely sound. Actually, I really enjoyed all your picks this time
Well done and congratulations on the amazing announcer who does your intros.

I had never heard of Freddy before but went and bought a couple of tracks from itunes on the back of hearing him on your show.

Thanks for spinning my track, Grant. You've been such a great supporter, I ought to send you something really Canadian for Christmas, like some maple syrup or a beaver. It's been awhile since I've had irn bru, so maybe we could trade... And thanks to those who posted kind words about the song, and who went out and bought the music. Very much appreciated.
